There are less than two weeks to go before the Language Industry Summit at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich and I personally can’t wait.

It will be the culmination of a long year of lobbying and raising the profile of the language industry and an opportunity to explore a number of critical topics key to its future.

The ATC Language Industry Survey, in association with Nimdzi and sponsored by interpreter intelligence is still live and so you can take part until Tuesday 10 September, and receive your own precis of your business’s competitive position in the market place. The survey can be found on the ATC’s homepage.

We’re delighted to announce the finalists for this year’s Language Industry Awards, which takes place at the Summit on Thursday 19 September on board the breathtaking Cutty Sark. Huge congratulations and we await the winners with baited breath.

The ATC has been working on a new, ground-breaking UK Language Industry Report to provide an informed overview and perspective about the language industry in the UK for all our key external stakeholders and the UK Government. We are launching this report on International Translation Day 30 September and members will be sent more details and a toolkit full of resources to help you all participate.

We are also excited to announce the inclusion of four more ISO standards via the ATC Certification Service, you can find out more information about them in the following articles.

To those of you joining us, see you at Greenwich – to those who aren’t, there’s still time to book and we’d be delighted to see you.
