ATC’s “Big 50” Regional Brunches
In this, ATC’s 50th anniversary year, we are planning many big things, including our Big 50 Brunches. These get-togethers are planned as community-building, peer sharing, trendsetting events based on the concept of ‘resilience in tough times’ to get 2026 rolling big time.
We plotted all our ATC UK members on a map and identified the four main clusters for building regional networks: London and the South East; Wales and the South West in Cardiff; the ‘Middley’ bit around Leamington Spa, and; Northern England in Rochdale. (Sorry, Scotland, you will have to wait for our big ATC Gold Conference bonanza session in October!).
The sessions are timed to fit local travel demands, and the content plays to the strengths and expertise of the organisers and their speakers, but all the events will provide ample time for general networking and discussion of shared experiences. So go to just your local one, or plan a UK tour!
In true ATC style, these events are a collaborative effort, created by language service companies, for language service companies – open to ATC members and non-members alike. We look forward to seeing you!

Marketing on a Budget, And How to Talk to Your People
Date: 8 May 2026, 10:00 – 13:00
Venue: Fire-Up Co-Working Space in Rochdale
Helen Provart of Peak Translations, Gabriela Lemoine of Accentus Language Services, and Louise Killeen of LKT invite you to an interactive peer-support session that will focus on two themes: marketing on a budget, and how to talk to your people.
In session 1, Helen, Louise and Gabriela will discuss ideas on how to market your language services business on a budget. Planned as a collaborative session, participants are encouraged to share their own ideas and examples of what works and what doesn’t in their business.
Session 2 will focus on the human element: how do we talk to our people – employees, freelancers, linguists – to motivate and support them during challenging times. Where does the new era of AI leave people? What does the industry offer them?
You can expect plenty of open discussion around these topics, as well as shared experiences, tips and advice. This is your opportunity to really dig into the issues that are affecting your business, and tap into the community to support each other and share best practices.

Fostering Client Relationships in a Fast-Paced, Tech-Driven, Increasingly Isolated World
Date: 11 June 2026, 10:00 – 13:00
Venue: COMTEC Office in Leamington Spa
The latest ATC Language Industry Snapshot highlighted that winning new clients is incredibly hard in the current climate. That’s why building and strengthening relationships with your existing clients has never been more crucial.
But just how do you go about doing that in a way that is effective, and yet feels unforced? Join James Brown and his colleagues at Comtec for an informative session that aims to answer exactly this question. In a panel session and discussion, they will share their experience on how to engage genuinely and communicate thoughtfully with your clients.
This will be followed by a practical session on how to use social media to grow your personal profile and brand voice. What are the things that are most important to your clients? How do approach connecting with a client on social media? And what are the best practices around writing and publishing posts on your personal and company profiles?
Pick up new ideas, share your own, and connect with your peers on what promises to be an insightful and interactive event.
