Founded in 2005, the European Language Industry Association (ELIA) is the European not-for-profit trade association of language service companies with a mission to accelerate members’ business success.

ELIA is committed to creating events and initiatives that are highly relevant to the needs and interests of language companies with a European business focus, providing wider benefits to the language industry as a whole.

Charity Translations

Charity Translators is a UK-based, growing volunteer community offering language support to the charity sector. Working with UK and international charities, the Charity Translators’ team provides advice and guidance on language services, as well as translation work on charity projects with the aid of its network of volunteer translators.

The Australasian Association of Language Companies (AALC) Inc. is an organisation formed to promote the interests of language service providers in Australia and New Zealand. The AALC speaks with authority and credibility on behalf of its members on policy and commercial issues.

Patient Information Forum

The Patient Information Forum (PIF) is the UK membership organisation and network for people working in health information and support. We are the independent voice of UK health information.

PIF supports 300 cross-sector member organisations to produce high quality, inclusive health information through the provision of guidance and training. PIF runs the only UK-wide quality mark for health information – the PIF TICK. The PIF TICK criteria set the standard for trustworthy health information.

CITLoB, the Indian Confederation of Interpreting, Translation and Localisation Businesses, is the Indian language industry’s body that aims to bring together all stakeholders within the language ecosystem on one platform for better cooperation, learning, sharing and progress. CITLoB members include companies or institutions relating to academics, interpreting, language technology, localisation, research, and translation.
