The ATC is delighted to welcome Steve Higgins as its new Chair!

Steve is the CEO of Mondia Technologies, incorporating Travod International, Wordminds Translations and Traduno. With a long career in language services sales and business development, Steve’s focus as the ATC’s Chair is on supporting member companies for growth, innovation and development.

Steve is a certified NLP practitioner and commercially minded leadership figure with a passion for growth and success. He enjoys learning about new technologies, innovations, and automation within the language services industry.

“It’s a great honour and opportunity for me to be elected as the ATC’s Chair, and I humbly accept the role from our outstanding outgoing Chair Ruth Partington,” says Steve. “I have thoroughly enjoyed getting stuck in with Council work over the past two years, and I look forward to working more closely with the ATC’s leadership, members and stakeholders to help language service companies to thrive in this rapidly changing market.”

The ATC’s outgoing Chair, Empower Translate’s Ruth Partington, will remain on Council to provide continued guidance. “For me, it’s a bittersweet thing to step down from my role as ATC Chair, and hand over the reins to our Steve. It has been a huge pleasure and an honour to serve as the ATC’s Chair over the past eight years, and work with the entire ATC team to overcome the challenges that consecutive disruptions in the form of Brexit, Covid, economic challenges, and now the AI revolution have brought.”

“The ATC exists for its members. Our values, strategic aims and core activities raise the profile of the language services industry in the UK and add value to our members year on year. I may step down as Chair, but the ATC is in the best of hands with Steve, our strong Council, and our professional leadership team.”
