The Association of Translation Companies is collaborating with the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade on producing Global Horizons, a captivating documentary-style exploration of international trade and export strategies.
Produced by BlackRook Media, Global Horizons seeks to shed light on the diverse landscape of global trade while highlighting opportunities for British businesses. Focusing on topical themes from ESG to women in export, and from global outlooks to the power of language capabilities, Global Horizons will provide compelling insights into a wide variety of export journeys.
Raisa McNab, CEO of the ATC, is delighted about the opportunities the collaboration will bring: “The Global Horizons series is a crucial initiative that will help us highlight the significance of linguistic and cultural considerations in successful international trade. Effective communication and cultural understanding are key pillars for businesses seeking to expand globally, and we know that companies who invest in language capabilities have 30% better export success than those who do not. The ATC’s members facilitate British businesses to expand their international footprint and grow globally, and we are keen to get stuck in working with the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade and BlackRook Media to unlock the ROI of language capabilities.”
Daniela Turiccki, Academy Director of the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade, is keen to explore the participating companies export journeys: “Exporting and international trade is often seen as an onerous task full of red tape and hurdles to overcome. We want to turn the narrative on its head, and celebrate the inspirational stories of export champions, as well as showcase the huge range of support and services provided by the Institute to our extensive network of 33,000 exporters.”
Adam Harrod, BlackRook Media’s Chief Content Officer, echoed the sentiment, saying, “We are proud to present a series that not only educates but also inspires British businesses to venture into international markets with confidence. Our collaboration with leading industry bodies ensures a comprehensive and insightful exploration of the dynamics of international trade.”
The series is structured into a number of episodes, each delving into a distinct aspect of global trade. Topics range from ESG, women in export, export strategies, and marketing approaches, to overcoming language barriers. Importantly, the series emphasises the vital role of diversity and gender equality in the global business landscape, showcasing how these factors foster innovation and better decision-making.
Participating trade associations, along with the private sector, contribute valuable insights, expert opinions, and real-life case studies, providing a holistic perspective on the internationalisation journey. The collaborative effort ensures a rich narrative that aims to empower businesses, enhancing their ability to thrive in the global marketplace.
Global Horizons will be available free of charge through renowned trade and press publications, social media platforms, and the Associations of Translation Companies’ and Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade’s websites.
Global Horizons invites prospective sponsors and collaborators who share our vision for empowering British businesses in the global marketplace to join us in this enlightening journey.
