Formerly Co-owner & Managing Director of Dialogue Language Services International, Cathy sold the company to The Translation People in 2024. Building on 30 years in the language services industry, Cathy now runs her own consultancy, CatNav, focused on helping boutique LSPs grow as well as indulging in her true passion: language and cultural intelligence training for business.

Cathy’s first word was ‘simit’ – the delicious Turkish sesame bread. Her passion for languages (and food!) originated from growing up initially in Turkey and has driven Cathy to live and work in five countries, while currently being settled in the UK.

Throughout her career Cathy has built expertise in international business development and helping clients use language and cultural intelligence strategically to succeed in new markets.

As an Export Champion for the DBT, she is passionate about helping UK companies identify and break into new global markets.

Her work and support for the ATC stems from a strong belief in the work they do to support LSPs commercially, raise standards and maintain ethics in an increasingly AI-dominated environment.
