The Association of Translation Companies (ATC) has launched a call for papers for the 2017 Language Industry Summit.
The ATC Organising Committee is inviting submission for the plenary session based on five key topics:
– Breakthroughs in technology designed to increase productivity, enhance quality and profitability
– Marketing in a changing environment
– Growing a sustainable language business
– People and relationships
– Quality standards and why they are good for business
The Organising Committee is also seeking outline proposals for master classes to be delivered in the morning of the first day of the Summit.
Anyone interested in submitting a paper should visit https://atc.org.uk/conference/en/call-for-papers for suggestions on potential discussion areas. Submissions should be made via the website no later than Wednesday 26th April 2017.
Ruth Partington, chair of the ATC Organising Committee commented: “This year we are looking for submissions spanning a range of topics, from employee engagement and retention to building customer loyalty, opportunities and challenges from developing technologies and disruptive environments.
“We hope this will encourage entries from a diverse range of language professionals across the UK and we look forward to welcoming some new faces to the stage at the conference later this year.”
