The ATC Officers’ £2,000 charity donation this year goes to The Bell Foundation for their hugely significant work changing lives and overcoming exclusion in the UK through language education.

The Bell Foundation’s work enables children, adults and communities in the UK that speak English as an Additional Language (EAL) to overcome disadvantage through language training.

The Foundation’s training has reached over 3,000 school teachers who work with learners using English as an Additional Language.

Its Criminal Justice Programme seeks to break down the language barrier to accessing justice and rehabilitation for individuals in contact with the criminal justice system, and has helped over 8,000 EAL individuals.

Its new ESOL Programme improves outcomes for adults and young people who use English as a second or additional language.
