The new Chair of the Association of Translation Companies (ATC) is Ruth Partington, who replaces Roy Allkin after he formally stood down at our recent AGM.
Ruth, who steps up from Vice Chair, founded long-standing ATC member RP Translate in 1993. She has been a member of our Council since 2014, revolutionising our membership application process as Chair of the Membership Committee and has been Chair of the Conference Organising Committee since 2016.
Succeeding her as Vice Chair is Council Member Dan Peachey, Managing Director of Intonation Ltd and its sister company City Legal Translations. His industry experience includes being a member of the ATC ISO Standards group and being the Vice Chairperson of Eulogia, an alliance of translation companies with one member per EU language.
We also welcome a new Council Member – Tarun Mahandru, Business Development Manager of legal translation specialists, Temple Translations Ltd.
New ATC Chief Executive Raisa McNab said: “We’ve got an excellent team in place to drive the association ahead to help develop and grow our industry even further. I’m looking forward to working closely with Ruth, Dan and other members of the Council on influencing positive changes within the language sector”.
