The Association of Translation Companies has opened registration for its landmark ATC Gold Conference, taking place in Glasgow this October. For language service companies navigating an industry in flux, this is the event to be at.

The ATC Gold Conference 2026 is officially open for registration. As the Association of Translation Companies marks its 50th anniversary, it is bringing together the UK’s language services community for what promises to be its most ambitious conference yet: a two-day event built not around celebration alone, but around one pressing question: where do we go next – as a trade association, as the UK’s language services industry, and as a community of peers?

Taking place on 22–23 October 2026 at the Voco Grand Central Glasgow, with a pre-conference Civic Reception at the Glasgow City Chambers on the evening of 21 October, ATC Gold is designed for language service companies (LSCs) that want to learn, get inspired and connect with industry peers.

Setting the Course

The language services sector finds itself at a crossroads. AI-driven automation, economic uncertainty, shifting client expectations, and rapid technological change are reshaping the industry at pace. For many LSCs, the challenge isn’t simply keeping up; it’s knowing which direction to run in.  ATC Gold is designed to provide exactly that clarity, structured around three core pillars:

Quality Insights

The conference opens with a research-led panel exploring what’s happening beyond the horizon: the economic forces, market shifts, and emerging opportunities that LSCs need to understand now to act on later. The ATC’s original market research will take centre stage, with expert analysis helping companies interpret the data and understand what it means for their specific business model.

Strategic Planning

Knowing the landscape is one thing; knowing what to do about it is another. Day 1 weaves in real client voices and member success stories to show how LSCs are already diversifying, adapting, and growing. Day 2 goes further still, with hands-on workshops to help attendees build strategic growth plans tailored to their own business, including a dedicated M&A Forum for those considering exit, acquisition, or sale.

Peer-to-Peer Support

There is real power in collaboration over competition. ATC Gold brings together a community of language services professionals to pool knowledge, discuss challenges, swap success stories, and support each other through what the ATC itself describes as “a perfect storm of technological disruption, political shifts and economic upheaval.” TED-style lightning talks, member showcases, and open networking sessions ensure that no attendee leaves without new ideas and new connections.

Celebrating 50 Years, and Looking Ahead

The anniversary element of ATC Gold adds real depth to the programme. A dedicated session, ATC Past, Present & Future, will reflect on the association’s journey and the road ahead, featuring ATC Chair Corinne Smith and past-chair Roy Allkin. The conference will close with the ATC Language Industry Awards Gala Dinner, celebrating outstanding companies and individuals across the industry.
