CCL at Trade Association Forum’s Best Practice Exchange

On September 10, ATC Commercial & Collaborations Lead (CCL) Sarah Bawa Mason attended the Trade Association Forum’s Best Practice Exchange, in London. This event brought together 280 trade association executives from a wide range of sectors, and the ATC claimed its space as an authoritative voice on language services in the UK landscape. Sarah identified new potential Trade and Commercial Collaboration partners and heard updates on best practice from other association experts.

Opportunities for Your Commercial Collaborations This Autumn

Exporter events scheduled in the UK this autumn offer ATC members great opportunities for their own commercial collaboration activities. Start your conversations asking questions such as: “Which international markets are most important to your growth plan, and where does language create friction?” and “Which international markets are in your growth plan, and what needs adapting for customers there?”

Our top recommendations this autumn are the British Exporters Association Annual Lunch 2026 on October 21 and the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade Empowering Global Trade Conference on November 18. Get there and get busy!

Join us for the Inspiration Session at ATC Gold

Update your understanding of commercial collaborations with the INSPIRATION session: ‘Building Business Through Commercial Collaborations’ at ATC Gold in Glasgow October 21-23. The ATC’s CCL will host a panel with Victoria Nicol, CEO of My Language Connection, and Sarah Heaney, of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, showing you how to build lasting connections for your business. You will come away with a simple five-point plan to launch your own campaign.

ATC Going Global Live Seminar Session

The ATC is partnering with and presenting a seminar at Going Global Live in November. The session: ‘The 30% Export Advantage: Language and Cultural Intelligence Win Business’ will tell the Seminar audience how companies who use language capabilities are 30% more successful in exporting than those who do not. It will guide exporters on how to profile their content and point them toward ATC members as their language services partners of choice.

If you are already member of a client-side trade association in a specific sector, we could work alongside you to develop the opening. Get in touch with me directly at ccl@atc.org.uk to discuss the possibilities!
