Family-run translation agency and long-standing ATC member, RP Translate, has been nominated as a Finalist in the 2018 Market Research Society Awards.

RP Translate, which is based in Bristol and specialises in linguistic services for the global market research industry, is in the final of the ‘Best Support Services’ category in this year’s Market Research Society Awards.

The Operations Awards, hosted annually by the Market Research Society (MRS), the governing body for the UK market research industry, are described on their website as “the only awards that recognise the vast amount of operations talent in the research sector”.

The Best Support Services category attracts entrants from a diverse range of specialised services, including data reporting, research participant recruitment and research fieldwork. This year, the ATC was delighted that translation was recognised as a key supporting service to the market research industry.

RP Translate was established in 1997 by CEO Ruth Partington, who is also Vice Chair of the ATC, which is the leading professional body for companies operating in the UK’s £1.15bn language services industry.

She said: “RP Translate is thrilled to be nominated for this prestigious award, which also demonstrates the significance of the role that UK translation agencies can play in the global market research business.

“ATC members work as supportive and influential partners to entire industries, providing essential translation and interpretation services to UK firms competing for worldwide trade, and this nomination is an important recognition of the professionalism of our fast-growing sector.”

The winner of each Operations Awards category will be announced in London on 13th September 2018.
