Two leading members of the Association of Translation Companies have been invited to speak at the forthcoming EUATC conference from 20-21 April in Berlin.

Isabella Moore, CBE, founder of Midlands based Comtec Translations and Ruth Partington, Director at RP Translate in Bristol and both senior ATC council members, will both take to the stage during the finance and productivity session on the first day of the 12th EUATC conference.

Isabella will open the session with an insight into non-financial performance measures as drivers of future profitability. Meanwhile, Ruth will deliver a presentation on how to standardise services to drive margin optimisation and pricing strategy.

Geoffrey Bowden, General Secretary for the ATC comments: “The EUATC Conference draws hundreds of language service professionals from all around the globe. It is therefore a great honour that we have not one but two of our members presenting at the event. I very much look forward to hearing the insights from both Ruth and Isabella.”

Isabella Moore added: “Whilst the event attracts a very diverse range of international translation companies there are many generic issues which relate to all language service providers. Irrespective of size or location measuring performance in all areas of the business to maintain profitability should matter to any company. I am very much looking forward to sharing our experience in this area with other delegates.”

Ruth Partington concludes: “We operate in a highly competitive sector making the delivery of a clear pricing and servicing strategy key. With 25 years of industry experience I am delighted to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and learnings with others and I am expecting it to be an interesting and engaging two days.”
