A checker tool at gov.uk/transition helps to identify specific steps businesses and individuals needs to take to be ready.

Post-Brexit immigration
The UK Government has released updated information on its post-Brexit immigration system in a document entitled UK’s Points-Based Immigration System – Further Details.
The ATC continues to lobby for the professions of translator and interpreter to be added to the Shortage Occupation List, and to provide industry-specific analysis and guidance to language service companies.
Our full analysis of new immigration system details and the implications for recruitment of translators, interpreters and multilingual project managers post-Brexit will be published in September 2020.
The ATC’s advice to language service companies recruiting staff from outside of the UK remains as before: review your future recruitment needs now and aim to recruit before the end of 2020 while the transition period lasts and EEA nationals may enter the UK freely.
