Anaïs Maniaval is a Senior Linguist with over 15 years of experience managing content localization for global brands across tech, publishing, and gaming. With a foundational background in literary translation, she knows first and foremost the importance of quality and voice to properly localize content for specific audiences. Today, she bridges the gap between creative artistry and modern data systems. Currently at Geotab, she defines the localization strategy for the European French ecosystem, managing high-impact content to ensure deep market resonance and EMEA expansion. Operating with an AI-first mindset, she modernizes operations by designing intelligent routing systems and real-time capacity optimization dashboards, while driving linguistic asset engineering to optimize machine translation and LLM outputs. Deeply committed to supporting other language professionals, Anaïs also serves as the Mentoring & Education Manager for the Women in Localization UK chapter.

Oleg Semerikov is the founder of Translators Family, an award-winning language service company specialising in Polish and Ukrainian localisation and conference interpreting. He has spent over 20 years building and scaling the business across three countries: Ukraine, Poland, and the UK. Today, Oleg also works as a marketing strategy and content consultant for service-based businesses. He is especially interested in bringing marketing thinking into the language service industry, helping LSCs move beyond service delivery towards clearer positioning, stronger client trust and more strategic relationships.

Marco Baglioni is the CEO and co-founder of LanguageCheck.ai and founder of the language technology company Aqrate. With more than 25 years of experience in the translation and localization industry, he has worked at the intersection of language services, workflow automation, and AI-driven quality evaluation.
Marco focuses on developing technologies that help translators, language service providers, and enterprises scale translation quality in AI-assisted workflows. His work centers on practical applications of AI for translation review, risk detection, and quality scoring. Through LanguageCheck.ai, he is advancing new approaches to translation quality management that combine human expertise with AI-assisted evaluation.

Jamie Brown is a consultant and fractional localisation manager who cut his teeth building a comprehensive languages programme from scratch at what3words. Working across localisation, linguistic research, speech recognition R&D, AI-enabled chatbots and more, he helped shape multilingual experiences in over 70 languages and locales. Having worked at the intersection of language, technology and international growth, Jamie now advises tech start-ups and mission-driven organisations on how to scale globally without losing sight of local user needs. His work focusses on building sustainable localisation programmes, designing multilingual content operations and helping teams navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by AI. A passionate advocate for digital inclusion, he is particularly interested in how language can reduce barriers to access and enable products and services to reach more people, in more places.
Graeme Lawrence is Founder & Managing Director of Snowball Strategic Growth. Graeme started Snowball Strategic Growth in 2025, and the company is a part of the Snowball Group, which is the M&A Partner of the ATC.
Prior to Snowball, Graeme worked in the Insights Industry for 30 years and has extensive consumer research experience across a range of categories, including FMCG, retail, finance and leisure & tourism. He was part of the management team that conducted an MBO of award winning agency Join the Dots in 2017, which they then sold in 2019 to InSites Consulting (now Human8). Sara initially trained as an architect at Edinburgh College of Art where she specialised in historic building conservation. She spent the early years of her career learning about conservation policy and practice in various roles at the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings including leading the award-winning Faith in Maintenance project. In 2015, Sara left SPAB to join the Heritage Lottery Fund as Head of Historic Environment before returning to the voluntary sector to take up the role of Chief Executive at Icon (the Institute of Conservation) in January 2019. In 2023 she moved into a new sector, taking up the post of Chief Executive at the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI). Although not a linguist herself, Sara is a skilled communicator and a passionate advocate for professionalism. She is committed to championing the value of professional translators and interpreters and supporting the #ITIcommunity.

Ruth Partington (she/her) is founder and owner of award-winning localisation agency Empower Translate, and former Chair of the ATC. She began her career as a freelancer translator before establishing Empower Translate in 1997, which became one of the UK’s first small businesses to employ email as a primary communication method. Ruth works at the intersection of the language and market research sectors as a Fellow of the Market Research Society (MRS), and was awarded ‘Research Hero’ status for changing the perception of language services and their role in international market research. She is passionate about the economic power of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), working as Immigration Policy Lead for the UK Federation of Small Businesses and standing on the MRS Representation in Research Steering Group as an influential advocate for EDI-forward methodology in global research. She was Highly Commended for ‘Equality, Diversity and Inclusion’ at the 2025 Institute of Directors Wales awards. Ruth was also named on the UK’s E2E Female 100 in recognition of her exceptional leadership of Empower Translate and contribution to the UK economy.

Having begun his career in languages back in 2012, James has worked in multiple senior leadership roles at Comtec, both as Head of Operations and currently leading on business development and marketing. Alongside this, he actively leads on the company’s B Corp initiatives, focussing on their linguists, community, and team culture. Within his role at the ATC, James leads on our ethical business and sustainability initiatives, as well as organising our events and co-hosting our monthly podcast, Loc Lessons. His interests include history, running, cinema, and touch rugby.
